  • Bollywood, Bhangra, Folk Dance Teacher Position

    Staar Academy is looking for fun and energetic Dance Instructors to teach Bollywood, Bhangra or, Folk. The respective teacher must possess pleasing personality and the passion to teach. The individual must also be patient and friendly while teaching. Positive outgoing team player, customer service oriented and great public relations skills are necessary. We offer flexible hours, and the pay is based on qualifications, education, and experiences. Previous experience is helpful, but WILL TRAIN. Duties will involve teaching private lessons and group classes, assisting with sales and marketing, helping with administrative work if necessary, participating in parties as hosts & traveling locally and all over the U.S., for training and competing purposes.     Staar Academy is looking for a highly talented teacher to teach various forms of Indian Classical Dance and Music. The teacher must be able to come during weekdays in the evenings and in the morning during weekends. Audition Process

All selected teachers will have to come in for an audition at the academy. The academy does not select teachers based on YouTube or other videos sent. Bollywood teachers must show variations to both slow and fast music. The song for the audition must be brought by the teacher either on an iPod or a CD. The duration of the audition is for 5-10 minutes. The academy is looking for teachers who can showcase their talent along with Originality in Choreography.
