Krithika Viswanathan
Intro and Experience :
- A trained Bharatanatyam classical dancer from Kalakshetra , Chennai . She has over 15 years of expertise. She learnt Bharatanatyam from Vasundra Devi , disciple of Padma Subramanium. Learnt Carnatic music from Sri. Rajagopalachari. She has over 7 years of expertise in the field of singing. She has been active in the field of media for over 10 years now. She used to be a TV news anchor for Doordarshan and has anchored several shows for Jaya TV. She lives in New Jersey at the moment. It was her passion to start the Staar Academy and hopefully will turn fruitful with her hardwork and support.
Lavanya Mahadevan
Intro and Experience:
Lavanya Mahadevan started her Dance and Music lessons at the age of 4 and learnt dance under Smt.Ratnam Janardhanan and Music under Smt. Rajeshwari Neelakanthan. She did her Arangetram on January 19th 2002.
- She has a Visharad degree in Bharatnatyam from A.B.G.M.V.M, Mumbai and a Masters of Fine Arts (Bharatnatyam) from Nagpur university.
- Lavanya got Scholarship from Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She is also the winner of Zonal Level of Unifest (University level Dance competition), All India Dance Competition, Pune to name a few. She is a trained Carnatic vocalist and released couple of Malayalam music Cassettes with Nagpur based orchestra Troupes. She is a active participant in Kutcheris, Gazal Programmes and also light Music.
- She has also participated in workshops with famous Gurus of this era like Ganga Tampi, Dhanjayans and traveled to perform in various prestigious festivals across India.
- She is currently taking Dance and Music classes in NJ.

Deepti Penkar

- Was among the few Indian classical dancers chosen by the renowned French Choreographer Karine Saporta for a workshop in contemporary dance in 2002.
- Was awarded the ‘Punya Gaurav Puraskar’ by Pune Municipal Corporation in 2002 for her contribution in the cultural field.

the renowned Allianz Francaise Institute in
- Has acted in some plays including ‘Kanupriya’, a compilation of Hindi poems on the devine couple of Radha- Krishna.
Deepti has also been trained in Carnatic music and has accompanied for vocals at various Arangetram performances.
A lover of art, Deepti enjoys creative writing besides dance and music and is passionate about sharing her love for dance with her students.
Krishna Kumar
Kris as he is known to all of us has been associated with the cine Industry for over two decades now. He is a well trained dancer, has worked for ace choreographers like Raju sundaram, Prabhu deva and has been running his own band in India. Kris has been trained in several forms of dance and is very popular among the film aspirants to get trained.
He teaches Bollywood dancing here at the school in addition to doing event management, marketing etc.
Tina Singh
Tina is a young vibrant teacher and has been trained in Bharatnatyam, ballet and Bollywood dancing. Tina teaches bollywood dancing and specializes in choreographing for our events and stage performances. Tina's outgoing personality and her enthusiasm in giving her best everytime she is in the dance floor makes her very popular among our students.
Jasmine Pinet
Jasmine has been trained in 11different forms of dance in the last decade. She has been dancing from the age of four. Her speciality is mixing the different forms/styles of dances and making them appealing to the audience. Ms.Pinet, an ace dancer herself trains students of different age groups.
